Maija Elizabeth Ekey is a writer, visual artist, healer, educator, and human person currently living in Hilo, Hawaii. Maija holds a BFA in Printmaking from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Masters of Science in Teaching from Pace University. Her work considers notions of space, transparency, time, and the limitations of the language. She weaves non-linear narratives that allow her audience to float through visions and worlds while considering multi-dimensional realities. Maija’s writing has appeared in numerous publications including Recenter Press, Dollfeeder, Girls Get Busy, & Bluestockings Magazine. Her visual work has been exhibited globally.
